Brunos of Liberty Township is owned and operated by Miami University graduates Jon and Karen McClellan. Brunos Pizza is a familiar name to Oxford, Ohio residents and to Miami graduates, as it is a successful pizza restaurant located in Oxford, Ohio, home to Miami University. Jon and Karen both loved Brunos pizza when they were in college and they are excited to bring the Brunos experience to Liberty Township.
The original Brunos Pizza was established in 1955 in West Lafayette, Indiana, home to Purdue University. This location focuses on a Switzerland theme, home to Bruno Itin, founder of Brunos. The 4500 square feet area, with a seating capacity of 250, includes a Swiss Chalet room as well as a sports theme room and bar area.
The Oxford location was opened in 1963 by Frank Gross, brother-in-law of the original founder. This location focuses more on delivery and carryout, with a smaller seating capacity of 52. In the early 1970s, Brunos Oxford became the first area restaurant to sell pizza by the slice and thus the subtitle Home of the Slice Pie was born.
Although the two Brunos are run independently, they are both known for fresh ingredients and unique recipes that make them popular and successful in their respective locations. In keeping with the same business model, they continue to thrive and succeed. Since 1980 they have opened four satellite locations throughout Indiana.
With the large population of Miami Alumni in the Greater Cincinnati area, there are many people familiar with the Brunos experience. Bringing a Brunos to Liberty Township will enable Miami Grads and those not yet familiar with Brunos to enjoy the unique taste that Brunos of Oxford has provided since 1963.
The Brunos menu includes many pizza options, including popular favorites, along with quality sandwiches, subs, pasta dinners and fresh salads. Brunos will provide A quality product at an affordable price with superior customer service. We thank you for visiting our website and we hope that you find it informative.
